Startup Headshot — Smart Casual
Smart-casual and bright — professional without the suit and tie.
Smart casual rather than corporate: good knitwear or an oxford shirt, no tie, a bright open workspace behind you. It is the register most technology and design companies actually use, where a dark suit would look out of place. Relaxed posture and warm daylight do the work that formality does in a traditional headshot.
What you get
- Cost: 12 credits per generation
- Typical time: under a minute
- Input: one photo
- Style: Business, Casual, Startup
What photo to upload
Upload one clear photo of your face — an ordinary selfie is fine and usually works better than a posed one. Face the camera in soft even light, keep the background plain, and avoid sunglasses, heavy shadow across the face or another person in frame. Wardrobe, hair styling, lighting and setting are all rebuilt, so there is no need to dress up or find a good location first.
Does it still look like you
Your uploaded photo is the only identity reference. Face shape, features, skin tone and apparent age are preserved; clothing, hair styling, lighting and background are rebuilt around them. Results stay in your library until you delete them, and source uploads are removed automatically after 30 days.
Frequently asked questions
Is this professional enough for a job application?
For technology, design and startup roles, generally yes — it is the prevailing convention there. For law, finance or executive search, use the Executive Headshot.
Can I keep my glasses?
Yes. Accessories you are wearing in the source photo normally carry through.
